Playoff picture clear after Week 5

PRESS RELEASE – The NFL Flag Girls Football continued with Week 5 completing the 8-10U Division Playoffs between the 2nd vs 3rd seed.

The Steelers dominated the Honey Badgers 20-0. The Steelers will advance to the championship and challenge the OG Raiders on March 22, 2025, at 9 am. This will be the 2nd time these two teams will face off in the championship. Last Season, the Steelers won the 8-10U Division Championship. Can the Steelers defend their title and repeat as champions?

In the second game of the 11-14U Division game of the day, the two undefeated division leaders, Honey Badgers Gray (3-0) and OG Raiders (3-0) went head to head with the Honey Badgers coming from behind at half time with a score of 14-8 to pull of a 32-14 victory.

In the older 15-18U Division, the OG Raiders takes the win of 20-0 over the Honey Badgers.

On Saturday, March 15, the 11-14U Division Playoffs begin.
At 9 am, the Honey Badgers Gray, ending the season today with 4-0 will go against the 4th seed, the OG Raiders Black (2-2) and at 10:30 am, the 2nd vs 3rd seed, OG Raiders Gold will take on the Honey Badgers Pink, both with a 3-1 record in the regular season.

Ashley Samaniego and the UCLA Bruins are heading to the NCAA Women’s Sweet 16.
The 2007 Simon Sanchez graduate is in his first year with the Bruins women’s basketball team as the Director of Athletic Performance. This after years at California State University, Northridge in the same capacity.
Coach Ash must be bringing some goodness to the Bruins as UCLA is currently ranked #1 in the country and earned its first No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in program history.

Guam Blooded: Kekoa Quinata Okiyama is a DB/WR football stand out of Lake Stevens Wa (Lake Stevens High School), Class of 2026. He is a two-time state champion prepping for his senior year and planning on playing at the next level. He’s currently in Las Vegas, competing at the Polynesian bowl combine and showcase. Most of Kekoa’s relatives are still on Guam (Quinata’s and Crisostomo’s).
