Team Guahan captured another win in the Guam Senior Winter Baseball League defeating team CTD Adahi 7-3 Thursday night at the Paseo Stadium.
After an impressive three up three down on the field in the top of the first inning, Team Guahan used that momentum built at bat to score five runs in the bottom of the first. Guahan hit four RBIs in a row, with five overall in the first. Second baseman Peter Aguon got things started hitting a run-scoring single to center field that drove home Pat Alvarez. On the next play, Paul Untalan ran home off a RBI single by Charlie Cabales. Then Aguon was sent home on a RBI double by Eloy Fujikawa to left field. Fujikawa would later reach home off a RBI single to right field by the DH Efrin Rivera to round out the inning.
Adahi managed to break the dry spell in the top of the third inning. A RBI by Frank Ninete drove home Roland Lumunsud for their first run.
Adahi continued to fight in the top of the fourth to cut Guahan’s lead. Jeff Heffinler cranked a RBI double to center field that allowed Anthony Pangelinan to run home. A few batters later, third baseman Luke Tedtaotao added a run off a sacrifice fly to end the top of the inning down 5-3.
Guahan answered back in the bottom of the fourth adding insurance off a field error at second base that allowed Pat Alvarez to steal home.

In the win, Guahan’s Alvarez finished with two hits with a RBI and two runs scored.
Senior Winter Baseball action continues on Saturday through Sunday at the Paseo Stadium in Agana.
