The Braves ended the night in a dominating fashion sending the Agana Heights Sushi Rock Cougars home 19-4 in BBL action Thursday night at Paseo Stadium.

The highlight of the game came in the top of the ninth when Braves’ Tony Yatar hit this season’s first homerun. With empty bases, Yatar whacked the ball out towards left field and out of the ball park for their last run of the game. Opening up the ninth with an already huge lead, the Braves would go on to score six more runs to end the game with a bang.

Down 7-1 in the bottom of the third, Cougars’ short stop Peter Grey hit a two RBI triple to bring in teammates Keith Castro and Shane McDonald. Grey struck again in the bottom of the fifth with a RBI single to cut away at the now 9-4 deficit. However, this would be the last runs that the Cougars would score.

Braves’ Carl Quintanilla hit into center field, grabbing an RBI single and increasing their lead 11-4. Ted Concepcion followed with a RBI single of his own to up the score 12-4 by the end of the top of the eighth.

Winning pitcher Cliff Raphael finished with 3 K’s and threw for five innings. Braves’ BJ Balajadia went 2-2, with three runs and two stolen bases. Carl Quintanilla went 3-3 with three RBI’s. In the loss, Grey went 2-3 with two RBI’s.

The Braves now improve to 4-0 while the Cougars drop to 1-3.
