LEGACY BLANK RAIDERS 39-0

Olivia Flores rushed for four touchdowns and Gia Sarusal gained 120 yards as the league-leading Team Legacy ran past the Lady Raiders 39-0 Sunday afternoon in the Guam Women’s Tackle Football League at the Eagle Field.

Flores nearly hit the century mark for rushing, coming up with 94 yards to go along with her four TDs. The speedy Sarusal could’ve had more but she had two long touchdowns called back on penalties.

Kimberlyn Tupaz was a monster on defense, recording 10 tackles with an interception and a fumble recovery. Kineisha Flores also had 10 tackles for Legacy. Quarterback Morgan Reyes passed for 45 yards and two scores.

Jovanee Borja did all she could for the 0-3 Raiders, fighting for 51 rushing and 57 receiving yards.

SINDALU 68, LADY SPARTANS 0

Tiara Santos and Deanna Garcia both scored four times in Sindalu’s huge win. Santos racked up  over 200 yards of offense (148 passing, 40 rushing, 35 receiving).

Next Sunday at 2:30 p.m. the last two undefeated teams battle it out: Legacy vs. Sindalu.

Guam’s Wayne Blas completed his 13th Boston Marathon and 38th marathon overall.
The island’s record holder in the distance, Blas finished this year in 2:35:21.
“I’m very happy with this result because seven months ago, I was sidelined with a stress fracture that kept me out for three months. No running! To come back on an abbreviated marathon build and finish one of the toughest races strong and healthy was a big win for me.”
His time of 2:29:38 at the 2023 Chicago Marathon and World Marathon Majors Age Group Championships stands as the Guam National Record.
