Dragons 56, BME & Sons 45
Rickson David scored a team high 15 points to led the  Dragons past BME & Sons.  Teammate Kallel Delos Santos scored a total of 14 points in the winning effort.

Red Horse 49, MVP Stars 36
Red Horse’s James Stake scored 22 points while teammate Jin Han added 12 to get the win over MVP Stars.

GSM/DLX 74, Hoopnotics 57
Team GSM/DLX came out with a big win over Hoopnotics with a game high of 21 points by M. Aiken. Long contributed 10 points for Hoopnotics in the losing effort.

IT&E 72, Sticky Bandits 45
Ryan Nanguta scored a game high of 14 points  with teammates Earvin Jose and Sandy Fejeran right behind him contributing 12 points each. Sticky Bandits’ Julius Yu had the most points of the game, 29, in the losing effort.

Calvo’s Insurance 59, Red Music Skippers 44
Calvo’s Insurance’s Nate scored 23 points to lead his team to victory over the Red Music Skippers. Ariel Odollo led the Red Music Skippers with 18 points while teammate Ted Tuazon chipped in with 12 points.

San Miguel Day 4

Jim Beam 57, YMO 48
Jim Beam’s Clif Claybrooks led all scorers with 18 points in the win over Yigo Mayor’s Office. Benny Sabiniano chipped in 12 points for Jim Beam and Ariel Odulio led YMO with 13 points.

Guam Home Center 63, 36 CES 54
Lagutang had a game high 20 points to pace the Guam Home Center over a gritty 36 CES squad. Oscar Ponce had 15 points for CES while teammate Jamei Yabut added 11 in the losing effort. Danny Cepeda also chipped in with 17 big points for Guam Home Center.

ACS 44, J-Town 42
The young guns of league went at it with ACS getting the nod over J-Town. ACS’ Rashawn Blas had 16 points and teammate Reed Meyer added 11 to get past J-Town’s leading scorer and dangerous swingman Dezdin Fikes who had a game high 18 points.

LA Painting 69, Pepsi 26
LA Painting cruised to a 43-point victory over Pepsi with Adrien Loja leading the way for LA Painting with 18 points. Chaz Cruz also had a good game adding 13 points for LA Painting and Jojo Bergantin was the leading man for Pepsi with 11 points in the loss.

Skyy Vodka 43, Cosla 41
Skyy Vodka found themselves in another close battle as they out lasted Cosla in the final minutes of the game. Andrew Borja converted an and-one play that gave Skyy Vodka the lead and also nailed a timely layup to give Skyy the win down the stretch. Borja had 22 points to lead all scorers and Edison Capanang led the well rounded Cosla with 12 points.

QUICK HITS

The Figo Islanders 40s women’s softball team took gold in the Senior Softball World Championship in Las Vegas. Figo came out of the loser’s bracket and beat the Arizona Belles 17-3 in the AA division championship game Sunday afternoon.
Other Guam teams that played in the 40s tournament were: Team SOTTA (women’s) and Bud Light Guam, Friars 671 and Sindalun Guahan (men’s).
Sindalu finished a respectable 4th out of 24 AAA division teams.

In Guam’s first time competing in the FIBA Asia Cup, we draw China, Japan, and Mongolia in Group C. Competition begins in 2024. Guam also moves up the FIBA world rankings to #76.
