The Tamuning Twins picked up another win in the Guam Senior Winter Baseball League defeating Team Mangachong 13-3 Thursday night at the Paseo Stadium. The game ended after four-and-a-half innings of play via the ten-run rule.
A huge fourth inning at the plate that drove in a total of eight runs allowed the Twins to pull away and secure the victory. Vince Bamba sparked the run scoring on a field error by the pitcher. A few batters later, Twins short stop Joe Jardeil cranked the ball to left field that drove home Ben Fama. Then, back-to-back errors by Mangachong allowed Paul Perez and Jardeil to steal home safely. First baseman Marvin Manibusan would add a run of his own off a fielders choice by Mangachong. To close out the game, the Twins took advantages of more field errors. Mike Agulto and R.Q. Sablan ran home on overthrows. The final run of the game came off a fielders choice that allowed John Manibusan to run home to give the Twins the ten run lead.

Tamuning then used excellent field play to hold off any possible comeback by Mangachong with three outs in a row in the top of the fifth inning to end the game via the ten-run rule.
The Twins wasted no time scoring three runs in the opening inning. Designated hitter Frank Mariano got things started hitting a run scoring double to deep left field that drove home Bamba. Mariano would reach home a few batters later off an overthrow to first. To close out the inning, Jardeil scored a run off a RBI single by Manny Babauta that grounded past third.
Mangachong was able to come within one run in the top of the third inning. Short stop Stan Blau scored off a wild pitch by the Twins. Then left fielder Ray Guerrero ran home off an overthrow to third to end the inning down 4-3.
In the win, the Tamuning Twins finished with a combined five RBIs at bat.
Despite the loss, Mangachong starting pitcher Joe Rivera led all pitchers with three strikeouts.
With the win, the Twins improve to 8-2 and currently sit in second place behind the Giants, team Mangachong drops to 1-5 overall.
