BOTTOMED OUT WINS BIG OVER THE TEAM

In Bud Light Women’s Fast-Pitch League action Bottomed Out stayed perfect improving to 3-0 with a 13-2 mercy rule win over The Team.

(Leo Palace Park)-  In Bud Light Women’s Fast-Pitch League action Bottomed Out stayed perfect improving to 3-0 with a 13-2 mercy rule win over The Team.  Dana Benavente lead the offense going 2 for 3 with a double, two runs and two rbi and Vanessa Cruz limited The Team to just five hits and two earned runs over five innings.

Bottomed Out would take advantage of fifteen walks by The Team starter Danielle Preuc as The Team looked to shake off some rust in their first game of the season.  Pauly Quintanilla was 2 for 4 with four rbi and Tanna Pocaigue chipped in two hits for the Bottomed Out offense that pounded out nine hits as a team.

Faith Escalona and Samantha Guzman were each 1 for 2 and scored a run for The Team.  Jessey Pereda was 1 for 1 with a rbi and walk.  The Team starts the season 0-1.

Guam Blooded: Ethan Toves Maddies has signed to play D1 baseball for the College of The Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts on a full ride scholarship.

The All-Tournament selection were Zhion Macapinlac JFK, Darwin Ecijan JFK, Matthew Quinata Southern, and Malcom Fernandez Tiyan.

JFK’s Collin Rillamas was named tournament MVP.
