Dallas Cowboy rising star in middle linebacker Jaylon Smith spent his weekend on Guam hosting a youth football camp down at the Navy Base in partnership with Pro Camps and the USO. Smith’s camp was exclusive to children between grades 1-8 and dependents of Active Duty, retirees and DOD Civilian Employees and ran this past Saturday and Sunday.

Smith’s camp ran on Saturday from 1-4 pm and from 9am-12pm on Sunday as he engaged with the kids as they ran numerous football drills. Camp attendees got to run a 40-yard dash which the camp called “The Smoke house” and awarded the fastest runners based on times and divisions. Attendees were divided into three groups which was tied to Smith’s high school, college and current pro team.

The children had plenty of chances to interact with Smith during the camp hours and even earned some paraphernalia. Camp attendees were also awarded via the fastest camper as well as the camper who exemplified the brightest character.

Smith will spend one more day on Guam (Monday) before leaving back to college as he is currently enrolled in the University of Notre Dame.

Due to a communication error GSPN was unable to speak with Smith.
