SANG DEFEATS VERA IN HISTORIC ONE CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT

Worlds collided at the biggest event in One Championship history as heavyweight champ Brandon ‘The Truth’ Vera and light heavy weight and middle weight champ Aung La N Sang concluded the Century event in Japan Sunday evening.

Vera used his reach well in the opening round, hitting Sang with kicks to the body to gain upper hand in the score card. Both juggernauts traded shots in the 2nd round with Vera cutting Sang over the left eye with an elbow.

Sang kept moving forward with precision strikes before damaging Vera with a spinning elbow that had him wobbling. Vera tried to respond with a spinning elbow of his own before the pair fell to the ground where Sang would gain top position to rain down strikes for the TKO victory.
