TRIPLE J OFF-ROAD POWERS TO VICTORY

Endurance tested in hot and long events

PRESS RELEASE -The Utvs along with the specialized offroad racing riggs were combined for an overall champ but also scored in each of their respective classes and raced two one hour heats with each heats competitors finishing position scoring points towards their finish. Starting positions for heat one had been determined by a draw for position from a hat with the second heat start being determined by the finishing position each competitor had placed in heat one.

At the start staging #19 Dongman Chang who had drawn position one on the staging grid gave up his position being unable to stage due to a mechanical issue. The absence of The #19 rigg allowed the #22 of Jay Santos in his monster rigg to inherit the number one spot on the staging grid with the #33 Triple J Ford in the number two spot. The rest of the field staged for the start as follows Team Pitstop #91 Donny Pitter in a turbo Utv, Team Cycles Plus Kawasaki #22 Justin Cruz in a non turbo utv, Team Rocky Mountain Precast  #57 Robert Crash Loriente, Team Autoworks #75 Jeff and Owen Rios in non turbo utv, Team LG Racing #19 Zachary Chang in a non turbo utv, #72 Team Rocky Mountain Precast in an over 2000cc rigg driven by Chris Kiwi Rabbetts, and in the final start position team of Simpson and Ada in the #1 turbo utv.

Team Triple J Ford with drivers Jeff and Jay Jones took top honors in the off-road enduro races.

HEAT 1

At the green flag rolling start it was the #22 of Jay Santos leading the field on the first lap but was quickly out powered by the #33 Triple J ford and then out maneuvered by the crafty #91 turbo utv of Donny Pitter who both moved up into first and second respectively.  The early leader Santos in the #22 monster rigg was the first to hit the pits with a mechanical which ended up being the end of that campaign.  By lap three the #1 turbo utv of Simpson and Ada had moved up from last to second with the #33 Triple J Ford still out front and extending its lead. By lap four both the turbo utv machines were in the pits with issues allowing the #22 non turbo utv of team Cycles Plus Kawasaki to move up into second as the #33 Triple J Ford continued to extend its lead.  Both turbo utv’s were able to rejoin the race and were regaining track positions by lap seven as both the #72 and #19 retired into the pits with mechanical issues. In the last quarter hour of the first heat drivers seemed settled into their current positions with the #33 Triple J Ford leading, the #22 Cycles Plus Kawasaki in second, the #75 of team Rios in third, the #91 of Pitter in fourth, the #1 of Simpson and Ada in fifth and the #57 of team Rocky Mountain Precast running in sixth. With just several minutes left in the heat the third placed machine of #75 team Rios pitted and were out of the heat with a mechanical allowing the #91 of team Pitstop to move into third. At the finish of heat one it was the #33 Triple J Ford first with a 32 laps completed the rest of the field finished as follows

HEAT 2

At the green flag single file rolling start it was the #33 Triple J Ford lunging out over the jump in front as the ground rumbled and shook as the second heat competitors were hard on the throttle. The #91 of team Pitstop moved up quickly into second and were looking solid with the #22 of team CyclesPlus Kawasaki in third. On lap five the #22 of team CyclesPlus made the move into second shuffling the #91 of team pitstop back to third which they both held until they both pitted on the very next lap. By lap seven the Triple J Ford was still out front running a conservative pace with the #75 of team Rios  having moved up into second and the #72 rig of team Rocky Mountain Precast into third. With just a quarter of an hour left to go the #33 was leading, the #75 was in second but in danger of the ever improving pace of the #72 who sat in third momentarily, fourth was the #1 of Simpson and Ada, fifth was the #91 and sixth was the #57. Once again with just less than fifteen minutes remaining in the heat the final battles began. The #72 of team Rocky Mountain Precast shot up into second and was on the same lap as the leader of #33 Triple J Ford, #75 team Ros pitted and appeared to have an issue dropping them back several positions, the #1 of Simpson and Ada moved into third with the #91 into fourth. With the clock ticking down the #33 Triple J Ford pitted allowing the #72 driven by Chris Kiwi Rabbettes to take the heat two lead. The #33 Triple J Ford was able to re enter now in the second place position which it had to settle for as the #72 Team Rocky Mountain Precast rig took the heat two win with a 28 laps completed.
