HIGH SCHOOL PADDLING COMES ASHORE

Hundreds of paddlers finish off exciting 2023 season

The ever popular and picturesque scenes of high school paddling came to a close over the weekend at Matapang Beach in Tumon with the medal events.

In the last day of races for the year, the Okkodo Bulldogs edged the FD Friars by less than a second in the boys 1000m sprint, while the JFK Islanders girls team came on top in the same event. The Bulldogs won the mixed division.

In the longer two-mile paddle race, the Friars pulled away and won comfortably in the boys division while the Lady Islanders smashed the competition, winning by nearly 40 seconds to the next team.

JFK came up big in the mixed division. Congratulations to all the paddlers for a successful season!
