The ISA Baseball League scheduling gods saved the best for last as the FD Friars and Tiyan Titans came into the final game of the regular season both undefeated.
With both already locked in the two top spots for next week’s semifinals, the pennant and an undefeated season was on the line. The Friars went with their big horse Ayden Aguon on the mound to secure a 7-1 win to finish the regular season campaign perfect.
Aguon scattered three hits with six strikeouts before the game ended after six innings due to sunset rule at the FD field in Mangilao.
FD got on the board first in the opening inning, added a run in the third and fifth before opening up the game with four runs in the sixth inning.
The bottom of the lineup came up big for FD in that late inning as they scratched out the final four runs of the game. Koley Taitague, Landon Minor, Daethan Alcantara and pinch hitter Jace Aguon all came up with big hits to secure the big win. Kaiden Weakley finished things off with a RBI triple.
SEMIFINALS
The top four teams head to the semifinals next Tuesday with the championship game slated for Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Okkodo Field.

The All-Tournament selection were Zhion Macapinlac JFK, Darwin Ecijan JFK, Matthew Quinata Southern, and Malcom Fernandez Tiyan.
JFK’s Collin Rillamas was named tournament MVP.
