ADAMOS, CARBULLIDO GIVEN LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTIONS

Atos pair recognized for BJJ excellence

PRESS RELEASE – Atos Jiu-Jitsu Guam is deeply honored to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of T’ana Adamos, newly crowned PAN Kids World Champion, and Professor Mike Carbullido, whose distinguished coaching and lifelong dedication to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu have elevated Guam’s presence on the global stage.

At the 2025 PAN Kids IBJJF Championship, held in July 2025 in Kissimmee, Florida, T’ana Adamos earned the prestigious title of Kids World Champion in her Orange Belt division. This victory is the culmination of unwavering discipline, exceptional technical skill, and an unyielding competitive spirit. Her triumph serves not only as a personal milestone but also as a profound source of pride and inspiration for the people of Guam, affirming the island’s place among the elite of global Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Professor Carbullido was honored for his exceptional role as head coach in guiding and preparing Coach T’ana for her world championship victory. His recognition reflects his years of service to the sport—mentoring youth athletes, leading adult competitors, and fostering a culture of excellence within the Guam Jiu-Jitsu community. From his beginnings as a child competitor, to achieving international success under the tutelage of the esteemed Professor André Galvão, Professor Carbullido has become a guiding force for the next generation of champions.

The honors were conferred by Senator Jesse Lujan and Senator Tina Muna-Barnes during a special recognition ceremony. Senator Sabrina Salas-Matanani, who had been scheduled to participate, was regrettably unable to attend due to illness.

“These achievements are emblematic not only of individual excellence but of the unity, resilience, and ever-growing prominence of Guam’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community,” stated Kristy Carbullido, Co-Owner of Atos Jiu-Jitsu Guam. “We are privileged to witness and support the extraordinary journeys of both Coach T’ana and Professor Mike, whose dedication inspires athletes across our island and beyond.”
