ADAMOS WINS PAN KIDS CHAMPIONSHIP

Highest level for kids jiu jitsu

PRESS RELEASE – In a groundbreaking moment for Guam and the global martial arts community, T’ana Adamos has achieved a historic victory at the 2025 IBJJF Pan Kids Jiu-Jitsu Championship, securing gold in the Orange Belt Junior Division. This triumph at what is universally regarded as the most prestigious youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament in the world marks an unprecedented milestone not only in T’ana’s career, but for Guam as a rising force in international competition.

The IBJJF Pan Kids Championship, hosted annually in Kissimmee, Florida, serves as the highest competitive platform for youth in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. With no official “world championship” for children, Pan Kids is widely accepted as the global pinnacle of juvenile Jiu-Jitsu competition. Winning this event is viewed within the Jiu-Jitsu community as a benchmark of the highest of excellence in preparation, execution, and mental fortitude.

T’ana was accompanied and coached by Professor Michael Carbullido, head instructor at Atos Jiu-Jitsu Guam, whose leadership continues to elevate the standard of youth training on the island. A former international competitor himself, Professor Carbullido has dedicated his efforts to developing the next generation of champions, guiding them with the same discipline and precision that defined his own journey.

Because of this momentous achievement, and in recognition of her extraordinary performance, T’ana Adamos was officially promoted to the rank of Green Belt—on the podium, gold medal in hand—by Professor Carbullido. The promotion symbolizes not just technical advancement, but a rite of passage earned through courage, excellence, and honor on the sport’s most elite stage.

Professor Mike Carbullido, co-owner of Atos Jiu-Jitsu Guam, reflected on the magnitude of the accomplishment:

There is no higher accolade a child can earn in this sport. Winning Pan Kids is the absolute summit of youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She demonstrated not only technical mastery, but poise, courage, and an unwavering will to succeed. Guam has made its mark on the global stage, and T’ana stands at the front of that achievement. We are honored, inspired, and profoundly proud.”

This achievement stands as a testament to T’ana’s relentless work ethic, the structured excellence of her team, and the enduring spirit of Guam’s martial arts community. Her victory will serve as an inspiration to countless others and further cements Guam’s place on the map in world-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Congratulations, T’ana Adamos—2025 IBJJF Pan Kids Champion. The world was watching, and Guam delivered.
