IIAAG GIRLS BOWLING ROLLS OUT NEW SEASON

Eagles sour to singles win

PRESS RELEASE – The lanes lit up with excitement as the Harvest Christian Academy Eagles swooped to the top of the IIAAG High School Bowling League Girls Division during the thrilling launch of the singles competition!

The league’s opening ceremony was a full-on celebration of sportsmanship and unity, featuring a vibrant march past of athletes, the ceremonial oath, and heartfelt welcome remarks by Guam Bowling President Joey Miranda III, who officially declared the league open with pride and purpose.

Eagle Rebecca Xu wasted no time making her mark, opening a commanding 39-pin lead on the field before edging AOLG Cougar’s Aha’ana Sablan by just nine pins in a thrilling two-game showdown to claim top honors of the day. Sablan settled into second place, while her teammate Summer Pinaula secured third, trailing by 28 pins.

The Eagles were in full flight, with their top four bowlers all landing in the top ten. Rennie Choi finished 4th, Kate Pedrajas placed 5th, Charmaine Tyquiengco claimed 7th, and Isabelle Galsim rounded out the group in 8th. Their collective performance earned a total of 17 points, securing the top team position of the day.

The AOLG Cougars held their ground with Alexia Delfin finishing 9th and Maria Paloma rounding out their top four in 10th, giving the team a total of 24 points and a solid second-place finish. Meanwhile, the St. John Knights clinched third place with Kristin Capati cracking into the top ten, Ryza Capati placing 14th, Olivia Lee in 19th, and Tingting Lan in 20th.

The excitement continues as the Boys Singles Competition kicks off on Thursday, at 4 p.m. at Central Lanes Bowling Center. Expect fierce strikes, bold plays, and rising stars as the league rolls on!

Guam’s top female golfer Tyanna Jacot has committed to play D1 golf with the San Jose State Spartans next school year. Jacot left Guam after her sophomore high school year to pursue her golf dreams. She currently is a senior at Torrey Pines High School where they look to defend the California state championship.
