MOM’S VOLLEYBALL LAUNCHES IN FASHION

Twelve games kick off inaugural league

PRESS RELEASE – The inaugural Mom’s Spring Volleyball League launched in electrifying fashion Sunday, March 30, at the Dededo Sports Complex — and the energy was off the charts from the very first serve.
The day opened with a packed gym and roaring crowd as Familian 828 and AMC clashed on Court 1 in a battle that set the tone for what’s shaping up to be a fierce and fun volleyball league. Familian 828 came out swinging, claiming the first set easily at 25-12, but AMC put up a fight in the second before falling 25–17 kicking off the league’s debut with power and poise.

The league features 10 teams in the recreational division and seven in the competitive division, with games scheduled through April and May.

Opening Day Highlights

  • Salty Aces, and Busta each came out undefeated with two wins, dominating their competition and quickly establishing themselves as possible title contenders in the competitive division.
  • In the recreational division the PFC serve-ivors bounced came away with two victories in pool B.
  • The action continues on Saturday, April 12, at iLearn Academy Gym starting at 12 pm where the teams return for another full day of matchups and momentum-building.
  • Fans are encouraged to come out, bring the noise and support their favorite teams as the Mom’s Spring Volleyball League continues to bring community, competition and championship-level energy to the court.

Competitive Division

  • Busta def. Hits and Giggles — 25–8, 25–14
  • Mother Spikers def. Strike Force — 25–16, 25–24
  • Busta def. Tired — 25–13, 25–21
  • Salty Aces def. Mother Spikers — 25–11, 25–14
  • Strike Force def. Hits and Giggles — 25–12, 25–21
  • Salty Aces def. Nana Lao — 25–21, 25-17

“We look forward to the moms coming out and training and getting involved in this lifetime sport,” said Natasha Garrido, a player for the Salty Aces. “It was a lot of fun and there was some heated competition as well. We do this for the love of the game — and the moms who run it.”
