PVA TO PARTAKE IN P.I. VBALL TOURNEY

Club to show skills in Mandaluyong

PRESS RELEASE – The Pacific Volleyball Academy (PVA) is thrilled to announce its partnership with SMART Spike to host highly competitive youth volleyball tournaments in a professional setting. This collaboration aims to provide an exceptional opportunity for our Premier 17s and Elite 15s teams to compete at an international level, exposing them to diverse styles of play.

Set against the backdrop of the vibrant volleyball culture in the Philippines, PVA’s players will have the unique chance to compete against some of the top teams in the country while also witnessing professional teams practice. Our goal is to enrich our athletes’ experience and elevate their skills through high-level competition.

SMART Spike Challenge Cup

  • Dates: June 16-20, 2025
  • Categories: 8 teams for 18U Girls and 8 teams for 16U Girls
  • Venue: Gameville Ball Park, Mandaluyong

SMART Spike Invitational

  • Dates: June 23-27, 2025
  • Categories: 8 teams for 18U Girls and 8 teams for 18U Boys
  • Venue: Gameville Ball Park, Mandaluyong

PVA is excited to embark on this journey, enhancing the development of our youth athletes while fostering international camaraderie through volleyball. We invite all supporters, families, and friends to rally behind our teams as they prepare for this incredible experience. The JFK Islanders won the first ever Memorial Weekend High School Basketball Tournament.

The All-Tournament selection were Zhion Macapinlac JFK, Darwin Ecijan JFK, Matthew Quinata Southern, and Malcom Fernandez Tiyan.

JFK’s Collin Rillamas was named tournament MVP.

The Prospects captured the Guam PONY Colt Spring Baseball League (14-16) championship Saturday with a masterful 2-0 win over the Smokies.
Pitchers Gavin Alcantara (5 innings) and Javier Taimanglo (2 innings) combined to throw a no-hitter.
Taimanglo and Juan Carlo Presnell drove in the two runs for the Prospects, and Skyler Paulino had two hits.
