TAIWAN STAR COMING TO GUAM FOR HOOPS CAMP

Joseph Lin to headline Asian stars to hold basketball camp

PRESS RELEASE – On September 6th & 7th, Guam Elite Basketball proudly presents the 2025 Legends Meet the Future Camp & Classic — a unique opportunity for young athletes across our island to sharpen their skills, build confidence, and learn from some of the best in the game.

Headlining this year’s camp is Joseph Lin, star point guard for the New Taipei Kings and one of Taiwan’s most respected basketball talents. Fresh off leading the Kings to their 2025 Taiwan Pro Basketball League (TPBL) Championship alongside his brother, global icon Jeremy Lin, Joseph arrives in Guam as a five-time champion and role model.

Known for his elite court vision, selfless playmaking, and steady leadership, Joseph has carved out a legacy of his own across Asia’s top leagues. A multiple-time All-Star in both Taiwan’s TPBL and T1 League, Joseph is widely admired for his professionalism, team-first mentality, and ability to elevate those around him — both on and off the court. His presence brings Guam’s youth a rare chance to learn from a player whose career embodies excellence, humility, and international impact.

Joining Joseph is Filipino-American point guard Jason Brickman, one of the greatest passers in NCAA Division I history and a current pro with the Abra Solid North Weavers in the Philippines’ MPBL. At Long Island University, Brickman led the nation in assists for two consecutive years — averaging 8.5 and 10 assists per game — and became one of only four players in Division I history to record over 1,000 career assists. ESPN’s Jay Bilas once called him an “excellent passer” who truly understands the game.

Since college, Brickman has played professionally in Russia, Germany, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan, where he was a T1 League MVP and two-time league assists leader. He won the 2016 ABL championship and Finals MVP, and most recently starred with the Kaohsiung Aquas in Taiwan, leading them to the 2022 title and earning First Team honors in multiple seasons. His global experience and on-court intelligence make him an extraordinary teacher of the game.

Rounding out this powerful trio is Terry Holt Jr., the #1 ranked point guard and #4 overall player in the United States for the Class of 2031. At just 13 years old, Terry is already drawing national attention for his poise, skill, and advanced understanding of basketball. His appearance gives campers a chance to see what the future of the game looks like up close — and to be inspired by a peer who is making waves across the U.S.

AIMING FOR AGES 6-14

Open to boys and girls ages 6–14, the camp features dynamic, hands-on training focused on foundational skills, basketball IQ, and character-building. With guidance from internationally respected pros, rising stars, and elite coaches, the Legends Meet the Future Camp & Classic is more than just a camp — it’s a one-of-a-kind experience that inspires the next generation through the sport we love.

We’re excited to announce the addition of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) component to this year’s 2025 Legends Meet the Future Guam Elite Basketball Camp! We’re blending basketball with learning and critical thinking in fun, hands-on STEM activities designed to complement our athletic programming.

In the STEM Week leading up to the event, campers will dive into the physics of shooting, basketball analytics, and begin to learn to read blueprints as well as build their own mini basketball hoop! This special STEM week will allow your child to explore how science and math can enhance their basketball performance while improving their game.

By introducing STEM activities, we’re taking our camp to the next level, allowing campers aged 6-14 to explore how science, technology, engineering, and math intersect with basketball. Through exciting activities such as analyzing basketball statistics, designing simple basketball hoop models, and learning the physics behind ball trajectories, campers will gain valuable insights into both their athletic development and how STEM skills apply to the game.

This unique, educational experience combines physical skills with critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving—all while having fun! Limited availability for STEM activities, so secure your spot today and give your child the opportunity to be part of this exciting new addition to the Guam Elite Basketball Camp experience!

This camp marks the official launch of our year-round STEM in Sports program, which will continue to engage youth beyond this event through hands-on learning and athletic development.
