SANTOS BREAKS ALABAMA SCHOOL BASEBALL HITS RECORD

Another standout athlete with Guam blood is roaming the baseball fields and breaking records in Alabama.

20-year-old Ethan Santos recently broke the school record at Bishop State Community College in Mobile, AL for most hits in a season with 71 hits in 54 games, finishing the season with an impressive .379 batting average.

The sophomore shortstop is the son of Kimo and Tammy Santos out of Mobile. Dad Kimo is a 1985 JFK graduate and a 30-year Navy veteran who settled in Alabama after his long military career.

Bishop State CC also announced last week that Ethan is the recipient of the Athlete of the Year 2026 for his achievement in baseball.

In two seasons at the community college, he is just one hit shy of the all-time school hits record.

Major Accomplishments:
1. South Alabama 1st team selection as a shortstop
2. Selected as Player of the Week on three occasions for South Alabama High School District
3. Received Baseball Athletic Scholarship from Bishop State Community College (Rank 20th in Divison 2, NJCAA)
4. 2nd best batting avg .375 with 43 hits on his freshman year (2025).
5. Top 10 of the Alabama Community College Conference’ Batting Avg of .375 from 206 Plate Appearances.
6. Listed as Bishop State’s 3rd ranked player with an all time career total hits of 106
7. Considered as a strong candidate for scholarship and draft selection for Division 1, NCAA baseball
