The University of Guam Athletic Hall of Fame grows by five members on Saturday, at the annual Hall
of Fame Basketball Game at halftime of the contest. The new members of the UOG Athletic Hall of
Fame are:

John Borden Reinstatement of His Uniform Retirement #83
The Class of 2025 was not entered into the Hall of Fame during 2025 because of scheduling conflicts
in the UOG Calvo Field House and the induction was delayed until early 2026.
John Borden is having his uniform number retired again as his uniform number was retired originally
in the late 1970s when his athletic career at UOG was over, but that retirement is not noted in writing
by UOG until now. His uniform retirement will now be noted on the Wall of Fame in the lobby of the
field house.
There will be a Hall of Fame Reception beginning at Noon on Saturday, where the new class of hall of
famers will speak about their time at UOG. Then the Hall of Fame basketball game will be played at
2:30pm, the game is between the UOG Tritons and MircoFriends. At halftime of the game, the Class
of 2025 will be inducted into the UOG Athletic Hall of Fame.
All of the Hall of Fame activities are open to the public and are free.
Also, right before the Hall of Fame basketball game, Triton Athletics will give out four Gage Johnson
basketball scholarships. Gage Johnson is a Hall of Fame basketball player for UOG who donates
$2,000 per year to the UOG Endowment Foundation for the basketball teams at UOG. Players
receiving the scholarships are:
