MANILA – Pacific Xtreme Combat will host PXC 33 Saturday night in Pasig City and the two Guam fighters on the fight card are ready to go.

145-lb. Robert Wusstig (4-5) made weight and had a literal head-to-head staredown with Philippine opponent Mark Striegl (10-0).

“I’m just looking forward to seeing the people out here and fighting in the biggest event,” Wusstig said, making his first visit to the Philippines ever.

The 23-year-old is going up against the highly-touted Striegl whom the PXC just recruited away from the URCC. Wusstig is on a two-fight win streak after losing his previous five bouts.

Jon Delos Reyes was a pound over the 136-lb. limit, but wasn’t worried about cutting the final pound within the two-hour grace period.

He was, however, displeased with the hotel’s sauna.

“I’m upset because the sauna wasn’t working this morning,” Delos Reyes said after stepping on the scale. “I could’ve easily made weight if it was working.”

Delos Reyes hopes to take his frustrations out on Team Lakay’s Troy Bantiag. This has fight-of-the-night honors written all over it.
