The 11th annual Fitness and Sports Awards Banquet has officially moved its date from September 28 to November 26 at the Westin Resort. The event is sponsored by the Guam Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness & Sports.
The council is currently taking an open admission for awards in 20 different categories with the new deadline for submission being at 5pm on October 30th at Strike Zone across the Micronesian Mall.
Some of the featured award categories are for outstanding athletes, coaches, sports administrators, fitness trainers, teams and exemplary programs. The council encourages public to nominate “In Memoriam” for recognizing athletes, fitness heroes, and role models who have passes away within the last year.
Nominations may be submitted until 5pm on October 30th to Strike Zone (across Micro Mall).
Please request nomination forms from Renee Veksler (647-2351).
