GATEWOODS TOP GCC GOLF TOURNEY

The father-son team of Dr. Robert and Stephen Gatewood won the GCC Foundation Par Excellence Golf Tournament on Saturday, October 4 at LeoPalace Resort, taking home two round-trip airline tickets courtesy of sponsor Delta Airlines with their low net of 69.4.

PRESS RELEASE – The father-son team of Dr. Robert and Stephen Gatewood won the GCC Foundation Par Excellence Golf Tournament on Saturday, October 4 at LeoPalace Resort, taking home two round-trip airline tickets courtesy of sponsor Delta Airlines with their low net of 69.4. Second place finishers Jake Barnes and Mike Castro were just two tenths of a point behind the Gatewoods with a team score of 69.6. Joey Perez and Kenny Sanchez finished third in the tournament, shooting 70.4.

The Low Gross score of 63 went to Jose Perez and Ed Castro, while the Wild Card winners were Jermaine Alerta and Joe San Agustin, who shot a team score of 74.6

The annual golf tournament raises funds for $1,000 scholarships for ten Guam Community College students and for CIP projects on the GCC campus. The scholarship recipients assisted at the tournament on Saturday.

Guam Blooded: Ethan Toves Maddies has signed to play D1 baseball for the College of The Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts on a full ride scholarship.
He is the son of proud parents Macky and Yvette Toves Maddies of Los Alamitos, California, grandson of Juan and Maria Toves+ formerly of Ordot/Barrigada Guam and Godson of Anthony and AnnMarie Toves of Ordot, Guam.
