The folks at the Guam Waterworks Authority concluded their special “Water Week” with an eventful Saturday, May 10th at the Agana Heights gym.
Employees and their families were encouraged to spend the day playing volleyball, softball, and basketball to round out the week. The staff also had a barbecue luncheon
Water Week Celebration started on May 3rd with their second annual 1.85 mile run/walk.
“Water is life,” commented GWA’s Heidi Bellandorf. “These guys here are my family.”
The Morning began with friendly volleyball games including the employees. It was noted that Saturday was a normal work day for the GWA employees so not everyone was able to participate.
The GWA’s Basketball team playoffs concluded the day in a competitive showing between GWA and GPA.

The JFK Islanders won the first ever Memorial Weekend High School Basketball Tournament.
The All-Tournament selection were Zhion Macapinlac JFK, Darwin Ecijan JFK, Matthew Quinata Southern, and Malcom Fernandez Tiyan.
JFK’s Collin Rillamas was named tournament MVP.
