SUMMER JAM DAY OF CHAMPIONS

The 2017 SummerJam Tournament presented by Aloha Maid Juice and Bank of Guam completed its championship games on August 6 with seven titles up for grabs at Tamuning Gym.

The 2017 SummerJam Tournament presented by Aloha Maid Juice and Bank of Guam completed its championship games on August 6 with seven titles up for grabs at Tamuning Gym.

The stands were filled with fans cheering for their favorite teams as each division champion and runner up were awarded their trophies and prizes at the conclusion of each game.

It was a great day for the St. Paul Warriors basketball club ending the day with 3 of 7 championship titles in the 10U, 14U and 18U divisions.

8 and under division: Raiders 32, Tamuning Typhoons 22. Raiders Jarret Ko was named MVP. Mario Bork received the Bank of Guam division top scorer award with a total of 88 points each averaging 17.6 per game.

 10 and under division: Opake Warriors 44, Tamuning Typhoons 38. Warriors Noah Hernandez was named MVP. Typhoons Michael Bork received the Bank of Guam division top scorer award with a total of 106 points averaging 13.25 per game.

 12 and under division: Yellow Jackets 49, Tamuning Typhoons 10. Yellow Jackets Elijah Richardson was named MVP. Typhoons Michael Bork received the Bank of Guam division top scorer award with a total of 81 points averaging 10.13 per game.

14 and under division:  St. Paul Warriors 72, Nova 20. Warriors Jon Sevilla was named MVP and received the Bank of Guam division top scorer award with a total 104 points averaging 17.33 per game.

 18 and under division: St. Paul Warriors 101, Tamuning Typhoons 52. Warriors D’Angelo Ballardo was named MVP. Typhoons Cloyd Rosas received the Bank of Guam division top scorer award with a total of 115 points averaging 19.17 per game.

Coed recreation division: Tamuning Typhoons 64, Diversity 57. Typhoons Destiny Castro was named MVP. G4S G4RCE Brandon Duenas received the Bank of Guam division top scorer award totaling 173 points averaging 24.71 per game.

Men’s varsity division: Andersen Bombers 71, HVK Bulldogs 64. Bombers Ledget Glover was named MVP. Bulldogs Earvin Jose received the Bank of Guam division top scorer award totaling 133 points averaging 16.63 per game.

Guam’s Jeremiah Camacho shot a perfect game at the 48th Hong Kong Open. The 22-year-old Guam National Team Member shot his 18th career perfect game on lanes 1 and 2 at Top Bowl Lanes in Hong Kong.
