The resume of the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers got off to a great start for Guam as they defeated host country Hong Kong 103-83. Guam opened up with a big 1st quarter and maintained control throughout.
Tai Wesley was one assist away from a triple double with 25 points, 10 boards and 9 assists. Guard Jericho Cruz scored 24 points and scored 16 of his points in the first half, going perfect from the field.
Guam will get ready to play Hong Kong again in just two days time!

Guam Blooded: Ethan Toves Maddies has signed to play D1 baseball for the College of The Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts on a full ride scholarship.
He is the son of proud parents Macky and Yvette Toves Maddies of Los Alamitos, California, grandson of Juan and Maria Toves+ formerly of Ordot/Barrigada Guam and Godson of Anthony and AnnMarie Toves of Ordot, Guam.

The JFK Islanders won the first ever Memorial Weekend High School Basketball Tournament.
The All-Tournament selection were Zhion Macapinlac JFK, Darwin Ecijan JFK, Matthew Quinata Southern, and Malcom Fernandez Tiyan.
JFK’s Collin Rillamas was named tournament MVP.
