The Fresku Fùtbol Frenzy 2022 was the first type of soccer event of its kind this past weekend: a 5v5 coed giveback tournament.
Twelve teams took part in the two-day tourney at the Adelup Grounds with Team Tsaudd coming away with $1200 and bragging rights.
The winning team consisted of: Joshua Bamba, Ariya Cruz, Chloe Salas, Morgan McKenna, Saena San Nicolas, Micah Hennegan and Shaun Paul Martinez (Golden Boot winner).
Chris Reyes, owner of Fresku Clothing and event organizer, said there was nothing but love in the two-day tournament which raised $1200 cash and over $500 in foster home necessities to the Kate Thomas Foundation.

Guam’s Wayne Blas completed his 13th Boston Marathon and 38th marathon overall.
The island’s record holder in the distance, Blas finished this year in 2:35:21.
“I’m very happy with this result because seven months ago, I was sidelined with a stress fracture that kept me out for three months. No running! To come back on an abbreviated marathon build and finish one of the toughest races strong and healthy was a big win for me.”
His time of 2:29:38 at the 2023 Chicago Marathon and World Marathon Majors Age Group Championships stands as the Guam National Record.
