COUNTRY CLUB OF THE PACIFIC TURNS 50

CCP still going strong after five decades

PRESS RELEASE – The Country Club of the Pacific (CCP) announced the winners of its 50th Anniversary Golf Classic invitational tournament on Saturday, December 2. First place men’s low gross was won by Stussy Shimizu with a score of 74, and first place women’s low gross was won by Tessie Blair with a score of 90.

“This invitational golf tournament was a commemorative celebration of CCP’s 50th anniversary, a significant milestone for the country club,” said Ben Ferguson, Senior Managing Director of P.H.R. Ken Micronesia, Inc. “For five decades, CCP has been Guam’s premiere and most challenging golf course for both residents and visitors alike. We will continue to embrace the Håfa Adai spirit as we provide our customers with a unique golf experience. We thank our customers for their continued loyalty throughout the years and congratulate all the winners.”

The CCP 50th Anniversary Golf Classic provided an Individual Callaway scoring format for men and women. CCP hosted this year’s tournament in celebration of their 50th anniversary in Guam. Jonathan Cramer, CCP General Manager, added, “The team at CCP has done a great job preparing the course for a challenging day of golf. We appreciate the support from P.H.R. Ken Micronesia and Ambros in making the tournament memorable for all.”

CCP also announced additional winners during their anniversary banquet at the CCP Clubhouse following the tournament:

Congrats to Sanchez senior Kayna Kanemoto for breaking the Guam National High School record in the Javelin throw.
On April 18th, the multi-sport athlete broke her own record with a distance of 34.17 meters. Kanemoto destroyed her previous record of 31.99 meters set last year.
