LEGACY VOLLEYBALL OFFERS SUMMER YOUTH TRAINING

Guam’s newest volleyball club ready to teach the sport

PRESS RELEASE – Legacy Volleyball Club is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated Youth Summer Camp, designed to introduce and enhance the skills of young volleyball enthusiasts. The camp will consist of three sessions, each tailored to different age groups and skill levels.

The first session, a four-day camp is scheduled from July 10th to July 14th, the second session will be a four-day camp from July 17th to July 20th, with the final session, taking place from July 24th to July 28th. Club coaches will set up two temporary net systems and coach both elementary students on one side and middle school students on the other.

Parents can chose from an early morning group, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., our a mid-morning group, starting from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There is also an option for parents to have their children attend the camp all day. The camp will be held at Bishop Baumgartner Memorial Catholic School gym in Sinajana.

Led by Al Garrido, a distinguished member of the Guam National Team Coaching Staff, and supported by a talented coaching team including Glendale Hattig, Jenzel Sabangan, Natasha Garrido, Jackie Nishihira, Sydney Nishihira and Christian Hoteling, this camp promises an enriching and dynamic experience for participants.

Whether your child is a beginner looking to get fit and learn the fundamentals of volleyball or a middle school student aiming to refine their skills, Legacy Volleyball Club Summer Camp is the place to be this summer. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to engage in a fun-filled experience while developing valuable volleyball techniques.

Congrats to Sanchez senior Kayna Kanemoto for breaking the Guam National High School record in the Javelin throw.
On April 18th, the multi-sport athlete broke her own record with a distance of 34.17 meters. Kanemoto destroyed her previous record of 31.99 meters set last year.
