VERA ANNOUNCES GRAPPLERS QUEST ON GUAM THIS JANUARY

‘The Truth’ steps up to promote event, launches clothing line

PRESS RELEASE – These are exciting times for our island! A game changer of global proportions has come to Guam…and has made Guam his home.

Brandon “The Truth” Vera, international MMA superstar; ONE Championship’s First Ever Heavyweight Champion; U.S. military veteran, and now, action movie star, has launched a clothing line, his website, and just completed production of the first two episodes of the VERAfied Podcast. Truth Apparel is Brandon’s athleisure clothing line, available to the public at shop.brandonvera.com. BrandonVera.com is also live and features everything about Brandon’s history, MMA career and all his endeavors. The VERAfied Podcast is Brandon’s opportunity to express his views on everything, from the state of MMA to the current state of our nation’s economy; foreign policy; and the Indo- Pacific region.

Brandon’s most personal project is the revival of Grapplers Quest, the nation’s most prolific tournament for BJJ practitioners, wrestlers and submission artists for the past 20 years.

“I am so excited and blessed to be involved in all of these wonderful endeavors, especially Grapplers Quest, which I have a very personal connection with because with each tournament I competed in, I developed and honed my skills that helped take me to the top of the MMA mountain,” Vera said.

“90% of the greatest names you’ve seen competing and dominating in MMA and jiu-jitsu tournaments competed in Grapplers Quest, champions like BJ Penn, Matt Hughes, Frankie Edgar and Gordon Ryan. To be resurrecting this incredible tournament, right here at home on Guam is super exciting and an amazing opportunity for our homegrown talent,” Brandon stated excitedly.

Vera and Team TRUTH held a press conference at Applebee’s Restaurant in Tamuning, on Monday, November 6 to announce the launch of brandonvera.com, TRUTH Apparel, VERAfied Podcast and Grapplers Quest. Brandon was joined by his partners, his wife Jessica, son Atreyu, and major brand partner, Guam Army National Guard.
