PRESS RELEASE – Reef Pursuit International was thrilled to announce the 2nd annual Chief of the Reef shore top water casting and jigging tournament, taking place along the stunning shores of Guam from September 18 to 22. This exciting event honored the art of fishing, culminating in an award ceremony on September 22 at the Ypao Main Pavilion, where the most skilled fishermen and fisherwomen were celebrated for their remarkable catches using poppers, stick baits, or jig lures.

Reef Pursuit International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving fishing culture, organizes various tournaments, workshops, and community outreach events. These initiatives aim to bring the community together and foster an appreciation for traditional fishing practices.
Kevin Rivera, President of RPI, expressed his delight, stating, “It was a weekend of fishing, camaraderie, and sharing our culture and ways of fishing with other fishermen and fisherwomen from Korea and Japan.”
