PRESS RELEASE – It’s been over 400 days since the CLTC’s eviction was implemented on the Guam International Raceway in Yigo. The eviction has left the island motocross riders and their families with out a safe and permanent facility. So once again it was with great pleasure and enthusiasm that when it was announced that the beautiful southern village of Humåtak would host two more rounds having hosted three rounds earlier this year of motocross in their village as part of the 2024 Guam Monster Energy GMXC Motocross Championships moto-heads began immediately to prepare both machine and body for two more rounds of bar banging racing.

Round 4 of the championship was held this past Sunday and was located right next to the iconic Humatak bridge with racers along with family and supporters staging themselves along and around the course ready for some island style high flying motocross racing .
The village mayor the Honorable Johnny Quinata and the Umatac Municipal Planning Council opened itself up to our islands racers earlier this year in March and allowed seven day a week of riding to help promote rider safety, sportsmanship, and quality family time and because of these reasons our people and our island are better and safer with dirt bikes and all terrain vehicles off of the village streets and onto a dirt course.
This past Sunday the Guam Motocross Club held its fourth motocross championship event on an easy to moderate level course that lends itself to all levels and sizes of competitor’s. Racing kicked off early just before lunch and included classes for ages from 4 years and up. The racing lasted for several hours as each class competed in two heats that would combine their results for an overall finish.
In the premier two wheeled class the Open Motorcycle #18 Little Jon Aguon aboard his Cycles Plus Kawasaki 450 wasted no time grabbing the lead off the start and then holding it for half the heat before visiting racer aboard a borrowed Yamaha #312 Steven Santos an island boy now living in California took the lead and the heat one win.
Taking second was new to the island #505 Justin Cuinana with #18 Little Jon in third. In heat two it was all New Zealand’s #31 Tim Wenden aboard a Rocky Mountain precast supported Ktm from start to finish as he smoked the field with #85 Blaze Aiken also a Cycles Plus supported rider taking a distant second aboard the Kawasaki 250 with #18 Little Jon Aguon taking third on a Kawasaki 450.
