PRESS RELEASE – Atos Guam Jiu-Jitsu Academy proudly announces that two of its remarkable athletes, Professor Lloyd Cubacub, a seasoned Black Belt competitor, and Gonzalo Quintanilla, an exceptional Purple Belt competitor, have been invited to compete at the prestigious Submission Battlegrounds in Honolulu, Hawaii.
This exclusive, invite-only superfight event will take place on February 1, 2025, at the Honolulu Convention Center, a premier venue known for hosting world-class international events. Submission Battlegrounds is a celebrated stage for elite grapplers to demonstrate their skills and compete at the highest level. This year’s event boasts a stellar lineup of world-renowned athletes, including legends such as Barrett Yoshida, Bruno Pucci, and Andy Varela, promising a night of unforgettable competition.
Representing Guam:
- Professor Lloyd Cubacub will face Thang Nguyen, a highly skilled Black Belt competitor, in an
eagerly anticipated Black Belt bout. - Coach Gonzalo Quintanilla will test his skills against Andrew Ramirez, further highlighting Guam’s
exceptional talent in the grappling world.
