ROMERO’S SOCCER CAMP WRAPS UP WEEK 1

Transformation seen in one week of work

PRESS RELEASE – Week one of the Built by Rome 3 and Strikers Football Club Development Camp has officially come to a close — and what a week it’s been. From the very first whistle on Day One, we made it our mission to build. Not just teams. Not just routines. But players — from the ground up.

And what we found on this island? Pure, raw talent.

Unfortunately, we also found a painful truth: No one has truly taken the time to help these kids develop.

That changed this week.

From day one, we focused on building confidence on the ball. Day two, we introduced structured passing sessions. Day three? Shooting, finishing, and learning how to turn chances into goals. As the week progressed, these kids began to cook. They put it all together in our in-camp World Cup Tournament — and they competed like warriors.

Team England went undefeated and took the World Cup crown, with Team USA finishing as the strong runner-up. The energy was electric. The competition was fierce. But most importantly, the growth was undeniable.

We had fun. We raced. We laughed. We sweat.

But we also developed.

In just one week, we saw a transformation in these children — not just as players, but as young people hungry for opportunity. It’s a shame that, up until now, many of them haven’t had it.

“If you want to see real development in your child — if you want them to improve technically, build confidence, and be surrounded by coaches who truly care — come join us.”- Jonah Romero

Week two starts next Monday at Leo Palace.
• 🕣 Half Day: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
• 🕣 Full Day: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

This is more than a camp — it’s a movement to give the children of Guam the support, structure, and love they deserve on and off the field.

Contact Strikers Football Club or Keith Dickson for more info.
Let’s keep building. Let’s keep growing. Let’s give these kids the help they’ve been waiting for.
