JAPAN TEAMS STRONG IN FAR EAST

Guam’s hopes of getting into the final four were diminished after Academy and Sanchez fell in their quarterfinal match-ups against CAJ and Seisen, respectively. Guam teams will still compete for the fifth place, while Seisen, CAJ, ASIJ, and Kinnick prepare for the semifinals Friday afternoon.

Seisen def. Sanchez 26-24, 25-17

Sanchez def. Guam High 25-18, 18-25, 15-9

Kinnick def. Kubasaki 25-15, 25-13

CAJ def. Academy 25-18, 19-25, 17-15

ASIJ def. Seoul 25-18, 25-9

Southern High def. Seoul 25-10, 25-18

Kubasaki def. ND 28-26, 25-17
