10TH ANNIVERSARY SPLASH RUN FOR HEROES

PRESS RELEASE – Piti, Guam (December 13, 2014) – The Guam USO invites all runners and walkers to the 10th Anniversary SPLASH Run For Our Heroes 2K/5K Run/Walk sponsored by Matson Navigation on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Show time is at 5AM and go time is at 6AM. The beautiful flat course with ocean views begins and ends at the “Old USO” in Piti, Guam. NEW to the race this year is a SPLASH component that will feature water balloons, water soakers, and more!

Participants experience not only an exciting competition with wonderful moments of camaraderie, but also an opportunity to enhance relationships between our military and local communities.

Join the popular costume contest and run in your water themed costume for a chance to win a United economy roundtrip airfare to Asia, Micronesia or Cairns, Australia. The first 1000 runners will receive a free dri-fit t-shirt!

The funds raised from this event will enable the Guam USO to continue the many programs and services for more than 4,500 military members and their families who visit our USO each month, and over 15,000 that benefit from our mobile programming.
