GUAM MASTERS LEAGUE TIPS OFF SATURDAY

Ambros, Inc. and the Guam Masters Baseball Association are proud to announce the start of the season for the Guam Budweiser Masters Baseball League on Friday.

PRESS RELEASE – HAGATNA, Guam (February 05, 2014) –Ambros, Inc. and the Guam Masters Baseball Association are proud to announce the start of the season for the Guam Budweiser Masters Baseball League.

Opening day is scheduled for Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 4 PM. All participating teams will be present for photos, contract signing, ceremonial pitch and opening season games.

With this contract agreement, we hope to reinforce our mission of providing an opportunity for our local athletes to excel and showcase their talents and abilities”, notes Tom Shimizu, General Manager of Ambros Inc.

Representing the world’s leading brewer, Anheuser-Busch InBev, local wholesaler Ambros, Inc. is also proud to announce its 2-year contract agreement with Guam Masters Baseball Association as an official sponsor of this sporting event.

The JFK Islanders won the first ever Memorial Weekend High School Basketball Tournament.

The All-Tournament selection were Zhion Macapinlac JFK, Darwin Ecijan JFK, Matthew Quinata Southern, and Malcom Fernandez Tiyan.

JFK’s Collin Rillamas was named tournament MVP.

The Prospects captured the Guam PONY Colt Spring Baseball League (14-16) championship Saturday with a masterful 2-0 win over the Smokies.
Pitchers Gavin Alcantara (5 innings) and Javier Taimanglo (2 innings) combined to throw a no-hitter.
Taimanglo and Juan Carlo Presnell drove in the two runs for the Prospects, and Skyler Paulino had two hits.
