THAI FIGHTERS TO TANGLE AT PXC 45

Team Quest Thailand fighters will be featured in the PXC 45 fight card.

PRESS RELEASE – On October 24th, local fighters Kyle Reyes and Ricky Camp will have their work cut out for them when they take on two tough opponents residing in Thailand. Ricky Camp faces Mark Abelardo of Team Quest Thailand at 135 lbs. After suffering three defeats in as many outings, Ricky Camp needs to come away with a win at PXC 45. His opponent, Mark Abelardo, boasts a 7-3 record and is coming off of a decision win over Scotty Eclavea – a man that Camp has finished in the past.

Underworld Xtreme’s Kyle Reyes wants to keep the momentum of his last fight — a submission victory over Josh Sapinoso. His opponent at PXC 45 is Alex Volkanovski of Tiger Muay Thai. The 7-1 Volkanovski has only seen the scorecards once in his career, as he has finished most of his opponents in the first round.

The Jones brothers make a return to the Terrordomepxc

Brothers Trevin and Tyrone Jones both look to build upon their current win streaks this October. Both brothers have not fought since February of this year.

Trevin Jones will face the very tough Toby Misech from BJ Penn’s academy in Hilo, Hawaii. Misech is coming off of a loss to Jang Yong Kim at featherweight. Misech has since made the cut down to 135 – a weight where he feels he can be stronger and more competitive at. While Misech has shown great prowess on the feet, he showed a glaring weakness on his back against Jang Yong Kim. Look for Trevin Jones to take advantage of that.

Jones is coming off a hard fought decision versus Ricky Camp in February. Jones has a stifling style that he uses to grind out victories and neutralize his opponents. An enthusiastic grappler and all around competitor, Trevin Jones has medaled in many jiu jitsu tournaments in the region.

Tyrone Jones will face Korean Top Team’s Hong Seung Chan at PXC 45. Jones beat Josh Muna at PXC 42 via decision and is hungry to finish his Korean opponent. Hong Seung Chan’s last appearance in Pacific Xtreme Combat was a devastating loss to Reno Remigio at PXC 37. Chan boasts excellent wrestling skills and an iron chin. He hopes to shake off the ring rust and reestablish his dominance at 155 lbs. Both fighters are looking for the win in order to cement their position in the lightweight division.

PXC 45 will take place on Friday, October 24th, and will feature a stacked fight card, with professional MMA matchups showcasing some of the best international fighters.

QUICK HITS

Guam’s Wayne Blas completed his 13th Boston Marathon and 38th marathon overall.
The island’s record holder in the distance, Blas finished this year in 2:35:21.
“I’m very happy with this result because seven months ago, I was sidelined with a stress fracture that kept me out for three months. No running! To come back on an abbreviated marathon build and finish one of the toughest races strong and healthy was a big win for me.”
His time of 2:29:38 at the 2023 Chicago Marathon and World Marathon Majors Age Group Championships stands as the Guam National Record.
