FLEXUAL HEALING TOPS TRENCH THROWDOWN

Team Flexual Healing of CrossFit Gof Metgot took 1st place in the Trench Throwdown III as Gof Metgot’s fellow squad 3 Headed Dragon and 2 Knights took 2nd place. CrossFit Latte Stone’s Latte Strong powered through an impressive 8th WOD to steal 3rd place.

The top 10 teams of the Trench Throwdown III made it into Sundays final two heats. After a heat clearing set of push jerks and cleans, the final five advanced to the crazy final heat. CrossFit Gof Metgot had the top two spots heading into the final heat, but the 3 Headed Dragon & 2 Knights would fall to Flexual Healing after hitting a snag in the muscle up portion of the team heat.

The team with the lowest score, like golf, was determined victor. Flexual Healing’s 1st place finish in the 7th and 8th WOD gave them the final points needed to topple the dragons and knights. Although, the #TeamLion in CrossFit Gof Metgot proved strong all throw down long.

Top 3 Squads:

The final heat consisted of a rope climb, overhead squat, a muscle up, and a handstand walk to finish off a round. Each of the sets had to be completed before moving on to the next one though any member from any team could jump in at any point to help finish off the allotted set.

The competitors were given 8 minutes to fit in as many rounds as possible between five different competitors. Latte Strong was sitting outside the top three, but their 2nd place finish in the final heat propelled them into the placement winners, edging Unified CrossFit by one point.
