RACEWAY PARK RELEASES NEW WEBSITE

The Guam International Raceway released its new website and 2015 calendar.

PRESS RELEASE – The Guam Racing Federation (GRF) announces the release of the 2015 events calendar at the Guam International Raceway, as well as the much anticipated launch of its brand new official website guamraceway.com created by local design firm Pivot LLC, according to Henry Simpson, GRF general manager.

Racers, motorsports enthusiast, fans, and travelers visiting the island will now have a place to go to online for all the information on whats happening out at the Raceway in Yigo.

“This year will be packed with great events from motocross, drifting, drag racing, auto cross and even non-motorsports related events,” said Simpson. “With our brand new, user-friendly website, it’s easy to keep up-to-date with all that’s going on at the raceway.”

The new site features an responsive design which is user friendly on all platforms from desktops, laptops, down to tablets and mobile devices. It integrates real time weather forecast in Yigo, integration with Google maps for directions, live Guam International Raceway Facebook updates on the home page, and Instagram feed. If a photo is posted on IG hash tagged with #guamraceway it will be featured on the site. The @guamraceway IG gallery is also available for viewing. There is also a featured IG account of the month.

Some of the upcoming events are the Monster Energy Motocross Championships, Proline Drift Series, Yigo Fiesta Drag Race, Triple J Auto Group Honda Tech Meet, and much more. You can also find information on Guam newest attraction Guam Auto Sports and the activities they offer out at the raceway.

The ever-popular Smokin’ Wheels international racing weekend is slated for April 17-19, with the Smokin’ Grills barbecue competition held on April 19.  A new addition to this year’s events calendar is the Adventure Expo, currently scheduled for Nov. 14, which will feature a obstacle course mud run and the inaugural XTERRA Games.

Another feature that the community can soon look forward to is a forum section nearly identical but improved version of the popular dragguam.com forums, an online community that discussed motorsports and latest activities on Guam but allows members to sell automotive or household goods, find local services in the classifieds section.

“Keep checking guamraceway.com for the latest developments.” says Tom Akigami (GRF Marketing Director)
