LA GALAXY TO SHARE SOCCER WISDOM ON GUAM

Get a chance to learn from the LA Galaxy.

PRESS RELEASE – Guam’s young, aspiring soccer players will have the opportunity to train with LA Galaxy Coaches here at home without having to spend thousands of dollars to travel stateside.

ZES Football Club, led by Coach Jonahan Romero, will be hosting the first ever LA Galaxy Youth Soccer Camp on November 28-30, 2017 at the Ricardo J. Bordallo Governor’s Complex in Adelup.

This camp is for boys and girls, ages 8 to 16, who are intermediate and advanced players. They will be training in a high-level coaching environment that challenges their skills in all areas of the game. Participants will receive professional instruction from USSF Licensed LA Galaxy Youth coaches. The LA Galaxy, also known as the Los Angeles Galaxy, is an American professional soccer franchise based in Carson, California that competes in the Major League Soccer (MLS) league.

ZES Football Club’s mission is to train Guam’s talented, young soccer players to compete at an international level. The caliber of training from the LA Galaxy Youth coaches is in line with this mission. The three-day camp will also include a Parent & Coach Luncheon where the LA Galaxy coaches will share more about their unique youth programs that funnel into their national franchise and important tips to help players and their parents understand what it takes to get into college teams and beyond.

Wes Meadows, Sr. Manager of LA Galaxy Youth Programming and Development, will take part in the camp and is looking forward to the opportunity. “We are extremely excited to come to the island of Guam and provide a unique opportunity for the youth players of Guam. We are committed to growing the game domestically and internationally and this offers us the chance to continue to give back and spread the LA Galaxy brand.”

The cost for the camp is $195 and is available to 80 players. Registration will be available Friday, Oct. 27th at https://youth.lagalaxy.com/guam-camp/. The fee includes lunch for one parent at the Parent & Coach Luncheon and additional seating may be available at registration.

For more information about this event please call Jonahan Romero at 787-1148 or email [email protected].
