
PRESS RELEASE – TRENCH™ CHALLENGE, Guam’s Obstacle Course Race that took place at the Guam International Raceway on Sunday August 13th qualified over two-dozen athletes from the top 3 male and female finishers and top 5 in age groups to participate in the 2017 Obstacle Course Race World Championships being held this weekend October 13 – 15 at the Blue Mountains in Ontario, Canada.
Overall top finisher Tim Wenden will be racing courtesy of TRENCH CHALLENGE in the PRO 15k Distance 35 – 39 division. TC Qualifiers in age group Roger James Sardea and Michael Quitugua have confirmed their participation and with the assistance from GVB’s Sports Ambassador Program and flight schedule from United Airlines, will also be racing at the OCRWC.

Competing in: 15k Standard Distance PRO 35-39 Age Division
Roger James Sardea
Qualified: 1st in age group at Trench Challenge 2017 Time 57:51
Competing in: 15k Standard Distance 45-49 Age Division
Michael Quitugua
Qualified: 2nd in age group at Trench Challenge 2017 Time 53:13
Competing in: 3k Short Corse 25-29 Age Division, 15k Standard Distance 25-29 Age Division.
Guam will be one of 63 nations represented at OCRWC. These Three athletes will be the first from Guam to represent the island at this level against the best athletes in the fastest growing sport in the world. Catch live updates on the Trench Events Facebook Page and local news through the weekend.
**TRENCH CHALLENGE has already opened registration for its next event scheduled for September 30th 2018. The early bird registration till the end of this month (October) is only $45.
