BATTLE SHOWCASE GUAM HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND

Big car show this weekend.

Battle Showcase Guam takes place Saturday February 24, 2018 at the Guam

International Raceway Drag Strip. Gates open at 4pm with a lineup of motorsports action for all to enjoy.

Battle Showcase is a lifestyle festival that highlights competition in Auto customization, Urban arts, racing, and motorsports. This event is the first and last major Custom Auto Show of 2018. Already 100 vehicles have signed up for display.

Features:

•Custom Auto / Bike Show – with Guest Judge Itsuki Terada, producer of Japan’s Cross Five Super Show.

•Drag Race Battle – Heads up racing in 14 sec – 11 sec Divisions. (More info below)

•Drifting – Drift exhibition on the drag strip by Guam’s best.

•Old School Hydraulic Exhibition – Bed Dancing Truck and Hopper.

•1 on 1 B-Boy Battle (Break Dancing)

•1 on 1 Graffiti Battle – Slammed Society Guam 2017 Opake Can Control 4 winner Ronald Larrew “Author” takes on Opake crews Rome “Schemes” Daco.

•Top local DJ’s Sylnt and Lord Chris Berg will be putting on a performance to handle the music for the evening.

•FOOD: Lyn’s BBQ, Marisols, Hafa Adai Lemonade

•Vendor displays: Proline, Island Tinting, Nissan Guam, and more. The Drag Races will be featuring a brand new state of the art Timing System that just arrived this week. Pre-Registration to qualify and compete in the Drag Race competition is available online at upshiftent.com for $25 or the night of qualifying on 2/23/18 for $30. Race cars and bikes that qualify for their division will face off at the main event on 2/24/18

Patrons can pre-purchase tickets to the event for $10 online at guamraceway.com, upshiftent.com or in-person at Proline, Car Audio Image, Hafaloha, Opake, all Foody’s/Shells, and all Napa Auto Parts locations. Admission at the gate is $15. Children ages 11 and under get in FREE.

Congrats to Sanchez senior Kayna Kanemoto for breaking the Guam National High School record in the Javelin throw.
On April 18th, the multi-sport athlete broke her own record with a distance of 34.17 meters. Kanemoto destroyed her previous record of 31.99 meters set last year.
