CRUISESHIP OFFERS MORE ROOMS FOR 2018 MICRO GAMES

More rooms available in Yap for the Micro Games

PRESS RELEASE – Hotels and apartments on Yap have been booked for months for the 2018 Micro Games that take place this July 15 – 27. Capacity on the small island is limited and other options have been few and far between. But more rooms will be available when the Forever Lucky cruiseship enters the harbor on July 1st.

With 146 cabins that include deluxe single, deluxe double and executive suites, room capacity on Yap will more than double during the biennial sports event that is projected to bring more than 2,000 athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and spectators to the island. It will be docked in Colonia with access to transportation to the Yap Sports Complex and within walking distance of the marina where all water sports events will take place.

Owned and operated by Fahrenheit Co. Ltd. of Subic Bay, Philippines, the ship offers four restaurants and bars, recreational and wellness facilities, a business center, free wifi, complimentary breakfast, 24 hour medical and concierge services. Prices range from $120 to $210 per night. QUICK HITS

Guam national golf team player Aki Matsuno secured second place at the FCG Hawaii World Series championship.

Matsuno’s second place finish earned him an invitation to compete in the FCG Junior Golf Championship to be held in July 2025.

A junior at St. John’s, he is also currently leading the IIAAG high school All-Island golf competition, chasing the coveted individual high school golf title.

Guam Blooded: College freshman Brianne Graves is currently ranked 5th in the nation in the 103-lb DI women’s wrestling rankings. She just beat the defending All-American.
Bri finished high school in Cincinnati, ranked #2 in the nation before signing with North Central College, which is one of the top wrestling teams in the country.
Her Evangelista grandparents are originally from Yigo.
