ELWELL FINISHES 5th IN THE WORLD AT CROSSFIT GAMES

5th in the world!

Young Ethan Elwell overcame a back injury in Day 3 of the 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games in Madison, Wisconsin win finish 5th out of 20 top athletes of the men’s 16-17 division.

Elwell was the lone Guam representative in world’s toughest competition that determines the most fit people on the planet. The only other athlete from Guam to participate in the CrossFit Games was Nicole Tainatongo in 2013.

The Unified Fitness Gym athlete stayed within podium distance on the first few days before a back sprain on a lift on the third day derailed his championship chances. In fact, Elwell sat in second place after three events on Day 1.

He fought through the pain the rest of the way to finish top five in the world. Congratulations Ethan!
