The 2019 GML season has reached their playoffs, kicking off their post season Thursday evening in a battle between the Rays and Redhawks at the Paseo Field.

The 2019 GML season has reached their playoffs, kicking off their post season Thursday evening in a battle between the Rays and Redhawks at the Paseo Field. The Rays managed to grab the win 8-5 behind winning pitcher Paul Pangelinan’s 7K’s.

The Redhawks used a strong 2nd inning to get a 5-3 lead over the Rays, but the answer from the visiting Rays in the 3rd ignited a four-run inning to take control of the game 7-5. The Rays added insurance in the 4th with a single run as defense dominated the rest of the scoreless 6th through 9th inning.

BJ Balajadia went 2-of-4 at bat with one run and an RBI to lead the Rays. Reggie Rechebong also went 2-of-4 with one run and two doubles to provide a steady flow of hitting. Redhawks Shane Camacho went 2-of-5 with one run and a triple.

Game 1 against the Royals and Expos will be played Friday evening while Game 2 of the Rays and Redhawks will go down Sunday evening.
