
PRESS RELEASE – The University of Guam Triton Athletics Department today announced its Class of 2019 inductees into its Hall of Fame. Seven former athletes and coaches now join 15 former inductees in the Triton Athletics Hall of Fame, which was established in 2017. The awardees are listed on the Wall of Fame in the lobby of the UOG Calvo Field House.
“Triton Athletics has a decades-long history of championships and sportsmanship made possible by many talented and dedicated athletes and coaches,” said Athletics Director Doug Palmer. “Our Hall of Fame memorializes that history and inspires future Triton athletes to aspire to the same level of success.”
The Class of 2019 inductees are:
- Christobal M. Mesa, Running Back, Football
- Mark Wessling, Defensive Tackle, Football
- Patrick M. Wolff, Head Coach and Player, Baseball
- Rhoda Santos Bamba, Player, Women’s Soccer
- Tosca Lindberg, Player, Women’s Volleyball
- Harold “Hank” Parker, Head Coach, Women’s Basketball
- Frank Stotts, Head Coach, Men’s Basketball
New members are generally inducted during a reception at the Hall of Fame Men’s Basketball Game, but due to the cancellation of the basketball season and restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, the formal induction and addition of their names to the Wall of Fame will take place either in July or along with the Class of 2020 inductees in October.
Christobal Mesa, a former running back for the Tritons football team, is one of seven inductees to the Triton Athletics Hall of Fame. Frank Stotts, a former head coach for the Tritons men’s basketball team, is one of seven inductees to the Triton Athletics Hall of Fame. Harold Parker, a former head coach for the Tritons women’s basketball team, is one of seven inductees to the Triton Athletics Hall of Fame. Mark Wessling, a former defensive for the Tritons football team, is one of seven inductees to the Triton Athletics Hall of Fame. Patrick Wolff, a former head coach and player for the Tritons baseball team, is one of seven inductees to the Triton Athletics Hall of Fame. Rhoda Santos Bamba, a former women’s soccer player for the Tritons, is one of seven inductees to the Triton Athletics Hall of Fame. Tosca Lindberg, a former women’s volleyball player for the Tritons, is one of seven inductees to the Triton Athletics Hall of Fame.
