The Crushers were led by Marco Napoli’s hat trick. Jon Odell, Jaime Ortega and Josh Pangelinan also scored for the league leaders. Scott Spindel scored twice for Quality and teammate Andre Gadia scored once. Quality dropped to second place in league standings following the loss.

In the day’s next match, the Cobras, fighting for the last available slot in the playoffs, defeated the Strykers “A” team 7-5 to hold its end of the bargain, but in the late game, Guam Shipyard prevailed over the FC Shotguns 7-2 to claim fourth place and officially knock the Cobras out of the playoffs. Although the Strykers “A” team lost to the Cobras, the team already clinched a playoff berth coming into the final day of the regular season.

The Cobras were led by Jan Flores’ four goals. Ashton Surber scored twice for the Cobras and teammate Gerald Aguon scored once. The Strykers “A” team was led by Hiro Asoshina’s two goals. Caleb Barretto, Randy Santos and Rico Espinosa also scored for the Strykers “A” team.

Guam Shipyard’s Donald Weakley and Anthony Babauta each scored twice against the FC Shotguns. Aaron Jackson, Dave Manibusan and Christopher Reyes each scored once for Shipyard. Marvin Redona scored both of the Shotguns’ goals with less than five minutes in the contest.

In the day’s first match, Doosan FC defeated the Strykers “B” team 6-2. Natsuki Recella and Kevin Hashimoto each scored twice for Doosan and teammates Sora Recella and Eric Redona scored once each. Audell Sabeti scored both of the Strykers “B” team’s goals.

The winners from both games will play for the league crown at 3 p.m. Sunday. A consolation match featuring the other two teams will be played at 2 p.m.
