PRESS RELEASE – The Personal Finance Center Lady Crushers capped their undefeated season in the Bud Light Women’s Soccer League with the Fall 2017 Premier Division (W1) championship, defeating Quality Distributors 4-2 Sunday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.
No. 3 Quality Distributors managed to level the match twice in the first half before conceding two unanswered goals in the deciding half. The Lady Crushers’ April Talledo scored the eventual game winner in the 49 th minute and later assisted Anjelica Perez’s goal in the 90 th minute to quell a potential Quality comeback.

Bank of Guam Lady Strykers’ Jinae Teria poses for a photo with Ambros Marketing Manager Jojo Camacho after receiving the Bud Light Women’s Soccer League Premier Division (W1) Golden Boot trophy Sunday. Teria, in her first season playing at the top women’s level, finished with the highest number of goals scored in the regular season.
Skyylerblu Johnson scored the match’s first goal in the second minute of play connecting on a corner kick from Colleen Naden before Quality’s Franshay Shippey leveled the match about seven minutes later. After controlling a throw-in, Shippey dribbled the ball to the corner edge of the penalty box on the left side for a shot to the opposite post out of Lady Crushers keeper Aeryn Anulao’s reach.
Naden later scored in the 13 th minute chipping the ball over Quality keeper Chyna Ramirez off a pass from Perez to put her team up 2-1 for close to 30 minutes.
Nearing the end of the first half, Quality’s Jalana Garcia managed to outrun the Lady Crushers defense on a ball from Hopemary Calip and maneuver around Anulao in the box for the score.
After the match, Ambros Marketing Manager Jojo Camacho presented the league’s champions trophy to Carla Haddock and the Lady Crushers team and also presented the league’s runner-up trophy to Quality Distributors President George Lai and the Quality team.
Also honored were the league’s Golden Boot winner, Jinae Teria of the Bank of Guam Lady Strykers, playing in her maiden season at the women’s level, and the league’s Golden Glove winner Anisa Topasna, the NAPA Lady Rovers’ goalkeeper.
The Lady Crushers have dominated the women’s league the entire year, adding the Fall 2017 title with the Spring title earned earlier this year.
