The indoor sports survived schedule changes on Saturday with field sports taking a big hit as Guam’s men’s basketball team grabbed their first playoff win to advance to the semifinals, the men’s volleyball team beat a tough Chuuk team, and the makeup day for all the games will be played out Sunday with the volleyball semifinals being moved up to avoid a one-day medal rounding.

The Pohnpei skies have turned an unfortunate shade of gray forcing all of Guam’s field teams out of action until further notice. One of Guam’s non-gym teams did take the waters as the men’s and women’s Va’a team checked in to Pohnpei Friday evening just in time for their 1500 and 500 meter races.
